TO: The Detox Market

2015, I still can’t believe it when I have to write it down.  With the New Year often also come resolutions.  Although I don’t really like making any kind of resolution, this might be an inspiration or helpful tidbit for those who do. Back in December I visited Toronto’s Detox Market.  Located on King Street not far east from Spadina, the quaint little store doesn’t just focus on cleanses like the name might suggest but has a huge variety of local ingredients and products that have your health in mind. Cold-weather Friday musts!

Just like anyone else, the things at the top of your drawers are the ones you pick up day after day, wash after wash, and you just can’t seem to get bored of.  So today, I’m sharing some of my favourites that I just can’t get enough of this season. When winter comes around, you’re not going to want a scarf with an open-weave resulting in chilly winds making its way down your front.  …

The Studying Spots

As for today, I’m writing from another adorable café on College Street as I like to do on my Sunday afternoons.    I’m a huge fan of getting out of my regular ol’ apartment walls in order to get a change of scenery and avoid and distractions (aka my kitchen).  To those who don’t believe me, I’m amazed at how much more work I can get done with the mellow background music and with many other dedicated people around the table working away; far better than a silent library and Starbucks. Instead of going into detail, I’d rather show you the awesome little …
